'Lyoness' is a cruel scam woven to trap consumers and business owners facing hardship in the current economic crisis. Globally, 3 million people have been lured into 'Lyoness' by a web of sugar-coated lies, starting with a 'free cashback card.' Instigator Hubert Freidl has then induced many victims to hand over thousands of euros to join a classic pyramid scheme dressed up as a business opportunity. Austrian media and authorities have been alerted and the 'Lyoness' web of lies is unravelling.

Where do you want to be in five years?
Have you ever been approached for an 'amazing' business/income opportunity? Have you ever been asked where you want to be in five years?
I read that the Lyoness cash back discount percentage has been reduced to 1-2% (or maybe the 3-4% claim was always a lie). Considering the earlier calculations on this blog, this has quite the effect on the expected returns. The following things were concluded on Lyoness earlier:
Lyoness turnover 2012 (Gerhard Huber): €1,000,000,000
Lyoness total shopping: €300,000,000
Lyoness profit percentage on shopping: 1%
Lyoness shopping turnover 2012: €3,000,000
Lyoness participants: 2,700,000
Average shopping Lyoness member: €111
Average cash back percentage: 1-2%
Average annual cash back per member: €1.11-€2.22 (that's right, two euros and twenty-two cents)
Minimum withdrawal amount: €10
Based on those numbers it can be concluded that in order to receive the first returns from the 'free' shopping card, one will have to wait about 5 to 10 years.
